As the name suggests, Indian Head Massage IHM has its origins in India dating back to 600BC. It is also known as Indian Champissage and it is believed it is where the word shampoo derives from. It was originally used as a grooming technique in India and was developed in the West to become a popular complementary therapy used for many different reasons.
This treatment is applied with the person being fully clothed and can be either be performed with the person sitting on a chair or lying on a couch.
